Taskr is a workforce and inventory management platform used by restaurant and coffee businesses to run their operations. Businesses using Taskr send operational text messages to two groups of people, both of whom have an existing relationship with that business.
Who receives messages
Employees of a business that uses Taskr. They receive operational alerts about their own work: schedule changes, shift reminders, task assignments, time-clock issues, and equipment temperature alarms.
Vendors and suppliers that a business orders from. They receive purchase order confirmations, delivery windows, and receiving updates.
We never send marketing or promotional text messages, and we never sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing.
How employees opt in
Employees opt in themselves, inside their own Taskr account. There is no way for an employer, a manager, or Taskr to opt someone in on their behalf.
- The employee signs in to Taskr and opens Settings.
- They enter and save their own mobile number under Phone Number.
- They tick the consent checkbox directly beneath it. The box is unchecked by default and stays disabled until a number has been saved.
The checkbox reads:
Text me operational alerts from my workplace — schedule changes, shift reminders, task assignments, and equipment alarms. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.

Consent is recorded per person with a timestamp. Unticking the box, or removing the phone number, withdraws consent immediately and stops all messages.
How vendors opt in
Vendors agree to receive order and delivery notifications at the number they provide as part of their supplier agreement with the business that orders from them. A vendor can opt out at any time by replying STOP or by asking the business to remove their number.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts. Reply START, YES, or UNSTOP to resume. Employees can also untick the consent box in Settings at any time.
