Taskr (“Taskr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an operations and team management platform for multi-location businesses, available as a web application and a mobile (iOS) application (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who this policy applies to
Taskr is a business-to-business product. Most people who use the Service do so as employees, contractors, or administrators of a business that subscribes to Taskr (our “Customer”). When a Customer uses Taskr to process information, the Customer is the controller of that information and Taskr acts as a processor on their behalf. If you interact with Taskr through your employer, please also review your employer’s privacy notice.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, role, employer/location assignment, and password credentials.
- Business and operational data — content you enter into the Service, such as inventory counts, orders, invoices, catering events, schedules, checklists, to-dos, chat messages, and uploaded files or images.
- Support and sales communications — information you submit through our contact form or send to support@taskrapp.io.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — actions taken in the Service, feature usage, and timestamps.
- Device and log data — IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic/crash data.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and secure the Service. The mobile app uses local storage for the equivalent purposes.
Information from third parties
If your business connects an integration (for example, a point-of-sale system such as Square), we receive data from that service as needed to provide the related features, such as sales and transaction information.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service;
- Authenticate users and enforce role-based access controls;
- Process inventory, orders, catering, scheduling, and financial workflows you initiate;
- Send transactional and operational messages (for example, order or catering notifications);
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you;
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your business or operational data for advertising.
4. How we share information
We share information only as described below:
- Within your organization — with other authorized users of your Customer account, according to the roles and permissions your administrators configure.
- Service providers (sub-processors) — vendors who process data on our behalf to run the Service, including hosting and database infrastructure (Supabase), application hosting (Vercel), transactional email delivery (Resend), and integrations you enable (such as Square). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect data and use it only to provide their services.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Taskr, our Customers, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Customers may request export or deletion of their data as described below. When a Customer relationship ends, we delete or de-identify their data within a commercially reasonable period unless retention is legally required.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and role-based permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we often act as a processor for our Customers, we may direct your request to the relevant Customer, or assist them in responding. To make a request, contact us at support@taskrapp.io.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
EEA/UK residents: where applicable, we rely on legitimate interests, contract performance, consent, and legal obligation as bases for processing, and support international transfer safeguards where required.
8. The mobile (iOS) app
Our iOS app collects the account, usage, and diagnostic information described above to deliver Taskr features on mobile. If you enable push notifications, we use a device token to send operational alerts; you can disable notifications in your device settings. The app may request access to your camera or photo library only when you choose to attach or upload an image (for example, an invoice or chat attachment). We do not use the app to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for use by businesses and their workforce and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
11. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at support@taskrapp.io.
